The campout

A lot goes into putting on a wedding ... and we want to enjoy it for as long as we can with you!
We know some of you are a "heck yes!" and some of you are a "heck no!" to a late night mini-festival campout,
and we hope this page serves as a source of information and inspiration for all of you in the "maybe" zone.
Our property is a chunk of the South Yuba canyon. It overlooks the river and
has about 270 degrees of Sierra foothills vistas. It's really an idyllic place to camp.
Below is everything you’ll need to know to feel prepared and excited.

arrival & Setup
To keep things smooth, we are asking campers to arrive before 4pm so there’s time to set up camp before the festivities begin.

Car Camping & Carpools
Onsite parking is extremely limited. We live at the end of a long dirt road that we and the neighbors have to maintain.
Car camping is only for those who need it (accessibility, special circumstances).
Please let us know if you need this in your RSVP.
Otherwise, we ask campers to arrive in groups of 3–4 per car to conserve space.
We can help you coordinate those carpools with a ridesharing spreadsheet!
Everyone not camping onsite will be shuttled in and out.
If you are traveling from way out of town and need to borrow gear, let us know, we've got you covered!

After Dark Shenanigans
Music & DJ's
We’ll have DJs lined up to play throughout the night.
After 1am, music will shift to a lower-volume, late-night vibe.

Food
We have a very special treat planned for midnight snack!

FIRE
Yes, there will be bonfires going for warmth and vibes.

ATTIRE
Please bring your magical self in any and all forms...
Furry suits, tails, tutus, ears, whiskers, wings, feathers encouraged....
Come as you are or come as you aren't!

important things to know
Designated camping areas are flat and shady, and near the house (where our little one will be sleeping),
and are therefore strict quiet zones, all night.

The party and dance floor are further downhill. Music will be lively until late, then shift to a quieter, late-night vibe around 1am.

Tent stakes are a must. We’re perched at the top of the canyon, so evening breezes are common.

We’ll work hard to clear poison oak, but it does grow here. Campers should know how to identify it, and ask others if unsure.

There will be string lights guiding the way to the campsites, but a headlamp is essential once you’re there.

May nights in Nevada City can get chilly — potentially into the low 40s.

We will have climate-controlled restroom trailers with real flush toilets and sinks.

Drinking water is plentiful & potable.

You will have full cell phone service here!

in the morning...
We are asking all campers to be packed up and offsite by 11am so we can transition to the next day’s events.

We’d love for you to join us at our Sunday Brunch at 11am! More details to come.
